A new listing on the web site for the Korean Game Rating Board seemingly shows that last year's indie Xbox Live Arcade platform puzzle hit Limbo will be coming to the PlayStation Network in the future. The listing, posted today, shows the game's publisher as Sony Computer Entertainment Korea, and gives the dark, atmospheric title an MA15+ rating. Over 750,000 players have registered Leaderboard statistics for the Xbox Live Arcade version of the game, which launched last July to widepsread critical acclaim. The game was also included in a retail bundle along with fellow XBLA hits Trials HD and 'Splosion Man in April. Previous XBLA exclusives Braid and Castle Crashers both eventually made their way to PSN months after finding success on Microsoft's digital marketplace. Developed by Danish studio Playdead, Limbo won top honors at last year's Nordic Game Awards and also won the AIAS-sponsored Indie Game Challenge at this year's DICE Summit. Before its XBLA release, the game received increased attention as a finalist in the 2010 Independent Games Festival. We've contacted Playdead Studios to seek confirmation of a PSN release for the game and will update if and when we hear back. [UPDATE: Playdead has confirmed that Limbo will hit PSN in America on July 19 and in Europe on July 20. In addition, a Steam version will be available worldwide on August 2.]
