Newsbrief: The Final Fantasy XIV reboot couldn't have gone any better for Square Enix, as the publisher announced today that more than 2 million people have registered an account for the game. The Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn MMO has helped Square Enix to remarkable earnings since it relaunched last August on PlayStation 3 and PC. With the latest launch on PlayStation 4 earlier this week, Square Enix says that registered users have now topped the 2 million mark. That means the game has added half a million registered users in the last six months. Notably, this doesn't necessarily mean that the game has 2 million monthly subscribers, nor does it mean that all those users are active -- however, the game does have an upfront cost of $39.99 on PS4, and $29.99 on PS3 and PC.
