Gaming peripherals and accessories company Mad Catz Interactive has entered into a publishing agreement with Microsoft that will allow it to release its upcoming War Wings series on the Xbox 360.
Gaming peripherals and accessories company Mad Catz Interactive has entered into a publishing agreement with Microsoft that will allow it to release games on the Xbox 360. Mad Catz revealed last month that it had formed its own game development branch called ThunderHawk Studios, with the aim to release a number of MMO flight simulation titles over the coming years. The studio has now been given the go-ahead to publish its upcoming titles on Xbox 360. Darren Richardson, president of Mad Catz, explained, "The execution of the Xbox 360 Publisher License Agreement marks an important milestone as we pursue our longer term goal of expanding our participation in developing, publishing and distributing games." Mad Catz will be publishing a flight simulation title by Melbourne, Australia-based TrickStar Games in 2012 called War Wings: Hell Catz, which is set to be the first in a series of War Wings games. Earlier in the year, Mad Catz acquired the assets of V Max Simulation Corporation, a California-based flight sim software developer and equipment maker, in a $638,000 deal.
