Newsbrief: Becker College in Massachusetts and the U.S. Department of Commerce's Economic Development Administration are working together to help build a business assistance center for game and tech developers in the state. The EDA has awarded the Massachusetts Digital Games Institute $1.4 million to help create the new game incubator, and Becker College has agreed to match the grant with $1.4 million of its own. The NVC will be situated at Becker College in Worcester, and aims to help undergraduate and graduate student entrepreneurs who have "unrealized potential" in game development, interactive media, and tech-based skills. It is projected that the grants will create 430 jobs over the next 10 years.
