Opinion: How will Project 2025 impact game developers?
The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
Here's what's been happening in the world of Meeple Like Us in July of 2017.

July was considerably less busy for Meeple Like Us related activities than last month, but we still had a full dance card of activities. We just finished up with the 4TG gaming convention at the weekend - I was representing Robert Gordon University, and Mrs Meeple was flying the flag for Dundee and Angus College. Both of us were also representing Meeple Like Us in our matching t-shirts, because ABB - Always Be Branding.
4TG didn't have much of a tabletop presence (this year, I plan to advocate strongly for more in the next year) but I was invited to do a few of the panels there and one of those was on accessibility in games. We discussed the topic in two separate sessions during the weekend, and touched on a lot of relevant topics in both video and tabletop games. There probably won't be a post on 4TG given how it was 99% video game stuff, but it was still an interesting weekend.
Last month we had a guest post from Brandon Rollins and also had our own guest article for Tabletop Gaming Magazine published. I was especially pleased by the latter of these because the editor there is already versed in game accessibility issues from his time in video game coverage, and wants to talk more about the topic in the magazine.
In terms of our regular posts, we actually skewed heavily towards 'stuff that's not all that long out' for once. That's exciting, as too is the fact that Mrs Meeple wrote her first review and teardown for the site! I vetted the content of the accessibility teardown, and the worst thing about that was how little I needed to do. This month has been a lesson in my own replaceability. You'll find her thoughts in the Century: Spice Road posts, but here's the index of the month's activities:
