Newsbrief: China has overtaken Japan to become the second biggest market in terms of iOS App Store revenue.

That's according to App Annie's latest mobile index, which shows the region's growth was driven "almost entirely by games," and was centred around a group of core titles including Fantasy Westward Journey, Hero Moba, and The Legend of Mir 2

With China having passed Japan on both fronts, it's now closing in on the U.S.' position at the top of the iOS game revenue charts -- although the U.S. still maintains a 30 percent lead overall.
