Newsbrief: This week, Israeli mobile gaming company MoMinis launched PlayScape, a multi-game Android app that allows players to transfer experience and virtual currency between its included games. PlayScape comes with 50 free-to-play games that are all unified by a shared achievement-like rewards system. Players can spend their earned "Experience Points" across any game on the service, allowing them to unlock a host of new levels or virtual goods. With this model, MoMinis hopes to give players more incentive to try, and hopefully spend money on the other games within the app. The company also offers to developers its internally-developed MoMinis Studio, a development environment that claims to help developers create games "in hours and days instead of weeks and months."
