After dabbling in the free-to-play model over the last couple of years, Namco Bandai is looking to hit the sweet spot with the newly announced Rise of Incarnates. Coming to PC later this year, Rise of Incarnates is a 2 vs. 2 battler set in various real-world locations. "Rise of Incarnates represents the next big step in expanding Namco Bandai's footprint in the free-to-play gaming space," said the company's director Joon Hwang. This follows free-to-play outings for Ace Combat, Tekken Revolution, Pac-Man and Ridge Racer in the last few years. Namco Bandai's Olivier Comte previously said that "free-to-play games can't be high quality."
