Namco Bandai announced today that the next game in its popular Tales RPG series will be a social game, available via DeNA's Japanese mobile social gaming network Mobage. In development by social games studio KLab Ltd, Tales of Kizna is the fourteenth in the series, and the first to be a social game on a mobile platform. The game will feature over 100 different characters from past Tales titles, and will see players using character cards to co-operatively battle against enemies. Players will also be able to form parties and guilds with each other, and then take on other players. Tales of Kizna is due to be released in November, and a dedicated pre-registration website went live today for those Japanese players who want to show their interest. The previous title in the series, Tales of Xillia, shipped over half a million copies when it launched in Japan last month.
