Newsbrief: Japanese video game giant Namco Bandai opened a new online social games studio in Vancouver this week, with the aim to produce more titles for mobile and online platforms. Namco Bandai says that it is looking to hire around 30 people to work at the new studio -- and it already has at least one social game for iOS devices on the way, thanks to a partnership with the Centre for Digital Media. A CDM team called ShiroKuma (part of whom are pictured) is currently putting the finishing touches on a title that will be released through this new Namco Bandai Vancouver studio. The hope is that this collaboration with CDM will provide a good starting point for the new studio.
