South Korean online game developer and publisher Neowiz announced today that it has signed a licensing deal with Epic Games Korea, and is utilizing the Unreal Engine 3 for its latest game. Entitled Bless, the game is the first title from Neowiz to use the engine from Epic, and is an MMORPG based around medieval fantasy themes. The company said that the Unreal Engine allows it to bring the characters of the game to life, with "detailed animations that capture each facial expression and even the miniscule movement of a finger." Jacob Han, chief producer of Bless, explained, "When creating a large-scale MMORPG, the most important foundation is having an expandable and robust game engine as the production tool." Epic Games Korea's Ray Park added that the agreement with Neowiz is "one of our most important licensing deals in Korea." Neowiz announced back in June its plans to invest $28 million in small studios over the next three years as part of its efforts to help grow its own company.
