Microsoft and Chukong, makers of the cross-platform open-source Cocos-2dx game engine, are running a contest with $50k in prizes for developers who publish laudable mobile games to a Windows Store.
If you already have experience with Cocos-2dx, this may be an opportunity to bolster your finances on the back of these companies' desire to attract game developers to their platforms.
The contest is now accepting submissions through the end of next month, and since Chukong is a Chinese company all entries must be published to either the Windows or Windows Phone Stores by midnight, May 31st Beijing time.
Your submissions will be judged by a panel of Chukong and Microsoft representatives based on criteria like performance and originality; the first- and second-place winners will take home $25k and $15k, respectively, while three third-place winners will split $10k between themselves.
