Nexon America is following up on last month's Facebook release of MapleStory Adventures with its second social game title, Wonder Cruise, which will launch later this month after testing. In Wonder Cruise, payers captain a luxury liner and must "keep [their] cruise guests socializing, relaxed, and entertained." They'll earn money from passengers who are enjoying their trip, which they can spend on customizing their ships with new activities, amenities, and architectural wonders. Nexon started testing the title with a limited audience in late August, and will continue surveying Wonder Cruise players on their experience through September 12, when the company intends to add more content, according to a report from Korean industry news site This Is Game. In July, Nexon launched its first Facebook title, MapleStory Adventures, a social game variant of its very popular free-to-play MMORPG. The title is one of the fastest-growing Korean social games ever, and it already has nearly 2.9 million monthly players and 462,890 daily users. That title had help building its audience from the 100 million registered users for the original client-based game, however, whereas Wonder Cruise, a completely new property, might have more difficulty reaching similar numbers for its monthly and daily player counts.
