Newsbrief: Nintendo's cheap and cheerful 2DS handheld system will be getting a price drop at the end of the month.

As of August 30, Nintendo's entry level option will be given an RRP of $99.99, a whole $30 less than the current suggested retail price of $129.99.

Even with the price drop, the 2DS will still come packaged with a digital copy of Mario Kart 7 - a deal that Nintendo of America's VP Scott Moffitt hopes will make the system an "attractive introductory option for first time gamers".
