According to data from the NPD Group in Australia, passed the 200,000 sales mark 37 weeks after the original launch of the console, getting to this milestone faster than any other handheld or home console before it. The console originally cost AUS$349.95 at the launch, but was slashed to AUS$249.95 as part of the worldwide price cut in August.
