Newsbrief: In a week that has seen big-name games companies changing up strategies as a result of public opinion, Nvidia today announced that it has cut the price of its upcoming Shield handheld game system. The handheld was previously given a $349 price tag, putting it in the same pricing range as the deluxe version of the Nintendo Wii U. However, Nvidia says that after talking with players, it has decided to chop that price down to $299. Those people who have already pre-ordered the system will receive it for this cut-price too. The handheld now also has a release date: next week on June 27. You can find more details on the Nvidia blog.
