Newsbrief: Following a delay to the upcoming Ouya Android-based games console, the hardware will now be released to the public in the very same week as its main competitor, the GameStick. The Ouya is now due to launch on June 25 to meet high retail demand, CEO Julie Uhrman told Joystiq. The GameStick currently has a release date of June 10 -- however, the team behind the hardware says that the majority of pre-orderers will receive it in the last week on June. Of course, the Ouya still has the upper-hand regardless of release date: It already has major distribution partners lined up, and originally received more than 60,000 backers on Kickstarter, compared to the GameStick's 5,700.
