The company tracks downloads of the top 200 free iPhone apps in the U.S. for each day. This was a 15 percent increase compared to the 4.91 million figure seen in October. Considering that Christmas Day saw the largest number of iOS and Android downloads ever recorded, it's very possible that the number of free iOS downloads in December may also top November's total.
