Gaikai, the cloud processing-based streaming game service co-founded by Dave Perry, has announced the appointments of two industry veterans to its advisory board. Phil Harrison, the former Sony and Atari executive, and Robin Kaminsky, formerly at Activision, have both joined Gaikai to offer their knowledge and insights into how the company will proceed. Perry, CEO of Gaikai, said that he believes Harrison's experience with the PlayStation brand "will be very valuable" as the company continues to build its cloud-based platform. At GDC 2011 earlier this year, Gaikai announced that its cloud-based games streaming service had gone live with a public beta, with the company claiming that it has "the fastest interactive proximity network in the world."
