Pokemon Legends: Arceus has sold over 6.5 million copies worldwide in one week, according to a tweet from Nintendo.

The latest Pokemon adventure launched on January 28, 2022, and breaks the mould with new mechanics including seamless wild Pokemon battles, tough Alpha pocket monsters, and unique traversal mechanics that can be used to explore the semi-open Hisui region.

By comparison, the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl remakes have sold almost 14 million copies since launching in November last year, while Pokemon Sword and Shield topped 6 million sales during its launch weekend in 2019.
