Casual game giant PopCap Games has released Peggle HD, a version of the popular ball bouncing title designed for Apple's iPad, along with an optional in-game purchase of the Peggle Nights expansion pack. Unlike the iPhone and iPod Touch version released in 2009, Peggle HD will include support for Apple's Game Center, including 29 achievements. The Peggle franchise has now seen more than 30 million downloads since its March 2007 PC debut, PopCap said. The title has since seen release on Mac, Nintendo DS, PSN, Xbox Live Arcade, and even the original iPod, among other platforms. Peggle HD is available for an introductory price of $2.99, with a $1.99 in-app purchase for Peggle Nights. Those prices will rise to $4.99 and $1.99, respectively, after the introductory offer.
