Newsbrief: Sony announced today that it plans to fully close its PSP comic download service later this year, and remove the comics option from the main PSP interface. The company stopped updating the service last year, although it is still possible to download comics via the service. However, from the end of September, PSP users will no longer be able to purchase digital comics, reports Andriasang. Those users who have already purchased comics can continue to redownload their collection until the end of the year, at which point this option will also become unavailable. Sony suggested these people should back up their comic collections before the year is out.
