The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
This is about how gaming is better from the couch rather than at arcades. This outlines why arcades are a thing of the past.
Can't wait for the next upcoming game to come out? Maybe you should review your plans to camp out in front of the your local gaming arcade for two days. There are several advantages to catching the latest games from the comfort of your couch.
Arcade prices aren't the only thing that's going up in price. A small box of popcorn purchased at an arcade can cost a small fortune these days. Let alone the extra treats, such as a beverage to wash down your snacks or a small chocolate bar to combat the salty popcorn. If you're hitting the couch instead of arcade, you can make your own popcorn and eat your own snacks for a fraction of the price.
If you're heading to the mall aracade, it's probable that you're in a gaming mood. In other words, you never know when the good parts are coming up and venturing to the restroom is a bold move. You could miss a key plot point and have to rely on your pals to fill you in on the best scene of the film. But if you're viewing the latest gaming and nerd cult hit from the comfort of your own living room, you have the advantage of the pause button.
Your HDTV screen at home offers a better picture than the old school arcade games that are prevalent. Few things are worse than chatty mall arcade guests, let alone a stranger who wants to chat with you while you're trying to pwn some noobs. At least from your couch, you know the person who's coughing in your lap.
Gaming arcades took a pause but recently have come a long way, but let's face it: And if you get a little drowsy midway through the battle, there's no opportunity to rest your head or lie down under a soft blanket--unless, of course, you're brazen enough to use the shoulder of the stranger to your left.
Arcade previews can be a real drag but the gaming console makers get paid to make you sit through them. All you want to do is get into the game you've been dying to play, and instead, the arcade wants to promote five different games to you first. In the arcade, you have no choice but to endure this torture. But at home, you can simply press the start button or even keep the console on to begin where you left off destroying your opponent.
Tired of the drag that comes with heading out to the local arcade or store to catch the latest games? If you get tired of gaming and need to watch a movie or two.
