Movie and video game rental service Redbox has revealed its top video game rentals of 2011, with the Xbox 360 version of Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 taking the top of the chart. In recent years, Redbox's strategy of placing rental kiosks in high-traffic areas has disrupted traditional brick-and-mortar rental businesses like Blockbuster. Redbox began adding game titles to its movie rental kiosks this year -- with 27,000 nationwide, the company claims "67 percent of America is within a five minute drive of a Redbox kiosk." Redbox kiosks hold PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii titles. The Wii version of Ubisoft's Just Dance 3 featured at number two in the chart, while Dead Island for Xbox 360 was at number three. Other notable entries into the chart include the PlayStation 3 version of Modern Warfare 3 at number five, and the Xbox 360 version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim at number eight. Overall, six of the entries into the top ten were Xbox 360 games, while the Wii took three of the spots, and the PlayStation 3 only held one position. The full Redbox top 10 video game rentals of 2011 list is as follows: 1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (Xbox 360) 2. Just Dance 3 (Wii) 3. Dead Island (Xbox 360) 4. Cars 2 (Wii) 5. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (PS3) 6. Brink (Xbox 360) 7. The Smurfs Dance Party (Wii) 8. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Xbox 360) 9. Call of Duty Black Ops (Xbox 360) 10. Transformers Dark of the Moon (Xbox 360)
