Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in a custom compiled list. This week brings Platinum Games' multiplayer brawler Anarchy Reigns and D3's Earth Defense 2017 Portable to the United States. The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending January 12th, 2013. Games Released in the United States: Platinum Games' multiplayer-focused beat-'em-up Anarchy Reigns launches this week in North America and Europe for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Boasting a broad selection of gameplay modes, Anarchy Reigns includes a roster of playable characters originally featured in Platinum's Wii-exclusive brawler MadWorld. The star of Platinum's popular multiplayer action-adventure game Bayonetta also makes an appearance as a DLC bonus fighter. This week additionally sees the release of an upgraded PlayStation Vita version of Sandlot's bug-blasting action title Earth Defense Force 2017, along with Gaijin Entertainment's downloadable PlayStation 3 rhythm game Dance Magic. Xbox 360: - Anarchy Reigns PlayStation 3: - Anarchy Reigns - Dance Magic (PlayStation Network) PlayStation Vita: - Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable Games Released in Europe: Xbox 360: - Anarchy Reigns PlayStation 3: - Anarchy Reigns Games Released in Japan: No new titles are scheduled for release this week in Japan, according to online retailers Play-Asia and NCSX.
