Disney is preparing to acquire mobile and online games company IndiaGames, and is in the midst of finalizing the agreement, according to media reports. Technology news website All Things Digital is reporting that it has been told by sources that an announcement may happen as early as later today. The source noted that the Mumbai-based social games company is currently being valued somewhere between $80-$100 million, and that since Disney already owns half of the company, it will be spending around $50 million to buy the other half. Disney previously acquired Indian media and entertainment company UTV earlier this year, along with the half of IndiaGames which UTV had owned. Popular recent titles from IndiaGames include the likes of Bruce Lee Dragon Warrior, Godzilla and Monster Mayhem. Gamasutra has contacted IndiaGames for comment. Earlier this year, Disney purchased Helsinki-based startup Rocket Pack, another social game developer (Warimals: Cats vs. Dogs) and the creator of a HTML5 game engine.
