Report: Epic Mickey 3DS is a follow-up to Sega Genesis hit Castle of Illusion

Disney has revealed that the Nintendo 3DS will receive a new Epic Mickey game alongside the console sequel, although this one will be a completely different game, and something a little special.

Newsbrief: Disney has revealed that the Nintendo 3DS will receive a new Epic Mickey game alongside the console sequel, although this one will be a completely different game, and something a little special. Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion is developed by Monster Tale (one of Gamasutra's top 5 overlooked games of 2011) studio DreamRift. according to Nintendo Power Magazine, and as reported by About.com. It's a continuation of the "Illusion" series of early '90s Mickey Mouse games that includes Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse, World of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck and Land of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse. As with Epic Mickey: The Power of Two, which is due for release on Wii, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, there is no release date set for Power of Illusion as of yet.
