Newsbrief: Outplay Entertainment, a Scottish free-to-play mobile game studio founded by industry veterans Douglas and Richard Hare, has raised $5 million in a new round of funding. The company focuses on creating games from well-worn, tried and tested genres, with its own takes on Scrabble, match-3, and Bust-a-Move. Most recently the studio released Monster Legacy, Outplay's own take on Outernauts. Outplay originally received around $3.6 million from the Scottish Government, which is once again involved in this latest round of funding.
