Social network Tagged is increasing its focus on games with a new acquisition. On Friday the San Francisco-based company announced that it had acquired social gaming discovery start-up WeGame. "Joining Tagged offers us an opportunity to tackle the social discovery and games space on a larger scale," said WeGame CEO and founder Jared Kim. "Both companies understand and are energized by enabling more people to discover, meet, share and play online." WeGame currently operates a desktop client that lets gamers download and play games, capture video or screenshots, and share achievements via social networks. Tagged -- which also owns popular chat client Digsby -- is not yet ready to reveal how WeGame's client and team will integrate with its network, but said an announcement is forthcoming.
