Sony Computer Entertainment of America announced today that it has signed a long-term lease for a new office in San Mateo, California, which will serve as the company's new headquarters for the foreseeable future. This new headquarters is located just a mile away from Sony's current office in Foster City, and spans more than 450,000 square feet. The company says this new space will "accommodate SCEA's long-term business needs and growth plans, and provides an engaging space that befits the PlayStation brand." Sony says that it will remain in Foster City while the new office undergoes renovations, and employees are expected to transfer to the new office in approximately 16 months.
