Sony Computer Entertainment Japan today launched a new social network, specifically designed for PlayStation gamers. The community site, called Play Community, can be found as part of the official Japanese PlayStation portal, and allows users with a PlayStation Network ID to sign in and use its features, reports Andriasang. Users can import their PlayStation friends list, form groups with other users, send messages to each other and look for people to play games with. It's also possible to create your own page and customize it with the games that you own, so that other players can visit and check out your collection. There is currently no word regarding whether the U.S. will receive a similar community portal. Gamasutra has contacted Sony for clarification. Earlier this month, Sony relaunched its PlayStation Home social hub, with a a full redesign of the services.
