Sony Reveals European PS Vita Software Launch Line-Up, Two New Titles

Sony has confirmed the European software line-up for its upcoming PlayStation Vita handheld, due for release in February, while also announcing a couple of new titles, MotorStorm RC and Unit 13.

Sony has confirmed the European software line-up for its upcoming PlayStation Vita handheld, while also announcing a couple of new titles. The company confirmed that the hardware will launch February 22, 2012 with 12 first-party titles available from the get-go. Uncharted: Golden Abyss, WipEout 2048 and Little Deviants are part of the launch, along with other notable IP such as ModNation Racers: Road Trip and Super StarDust Delta. Sony also revealed that MotorStorm RC, the next in the MotorStorm franchise, will launch with the PlayStation Vita in Europe. A version for PS3 will also be made available, and players of both versions will be able to play against each other. A further new title, Unit 13 from MAG developer Zipper Interactive, was revealed and is due to be released "around the launch window of the PS Vita." Over 30 third-party games are currently in development for the PS Vita, including BioShock Vita, Street Fighter X Tekken and Silent Hill: Book of Memories. Sony did not confirm which third-party titles will be available at the launch of the hardware. The full list of PS Vita first-party launch titles is below. The handheld is due to launch on December 17, 2011, in Japan and February 22, 2012, in Europe and North America.
