Sumo Digital is expanding with the opening of a second PixelAnt Games studio in the Czech Republic.

The expansion comes over a year after Sumo purchased the Polish work-for-hire developer for an undisclosed fee. It also follows the openings of new Sumo studios in Bangalore and Pune.

According to Sumo, PixelAnt Games Czech Republic will follow the same studio model as its Polish forebear, working as a co-developer on triple-A titles while also developing its own projects internally.

The new studio will be led by former Dying Light 2 and DayZ lead producer Eugen Harton.

"We’re thrilled to be growing the Sumo Digital family through central Europe," said Gary Dunn, managing director at Sumo Digital, in a press release.

"PixelAnt Games is perfectly placed to invest in the people and potential that the Czech Republic has to offer, the expansion also allows us to meet the growing demand for business whilst ensuring we continue to deliver world class games development in locations around the world."
