Opinion: How will Project 2025 impact game developers?
The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap developer Lizardcube has revealed the Switch version of the game has outsold all other versions combined.
It seems indies are taking to the Switch. In Gamasutra's recent 'Rise of the Nindies' feature, Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap developer Lizardcube revealed the Switch version of the game has outsold all other versions combined.
That's no mean feat, especially when you consider the platformer is also available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC -- which have a fairly hefty install base individually, let alone together.
Lizardcube isn't the only studio to see success on the Switch. Responding to the story on Twitter, Forma.8 developer MixedBag explained they "had pretty much the same experience."
"We sold more copies [of Forma.8] on iOS, but we have (a lot) higher revenues on Switch because we launched the game at a higher price," tweeted the studio. "So in the end the Switch version of Forma.8 is the most successful one right now."
Shedding a bit more light on the situation, MixedBag claimed the Switch release outsold the PS4, Vita, Wii U, Xbox One, and Steam versions combined.
