Today, social app and game monetization company Tapjoy revealed that its Android Fund now supports more than 130 apps worldwide, and has grown the company's Android network from 171,000 monthly active users in January 2011 to more than 25 million in December. The Android Fund, first announced in June, offers monetary and publishing support to developers looking to bring their iOS and Facebook titles over to the Android platform. In addition, the fund also gives developers the option to leverage Tapjoy's monetization engine, analytics tools, among other data-driven services. Tapjoy said that much of the program's growth has come from international markets like Asia and Europe. According to the company, the Turkey-based Craneballs Studios been one of its most successful overseas developers, attracting more than 900,000 total Android users with its first person action title Overkill. "Tapjoy offered sound advice and direction as we built Overkill for Android, but at the same time they let us do our own thing," said Craneballs Studio CEO Martin Chamrad. "It has paid off handsomely in terms of user growth, engagement and, perhaps most importantly, revenue." Other popular games on Tapjoy's Android network include MachineWorks Northwest's 3D Hunting: Alaskan Hunt, its port of Duke Nukem 3D, Making Fun, Inc.'s Santa's Villiage, and more.
