Opinion: How will Project 2025 impact game developers?

I'm finally dipping my toes into the cool kids pool.
I love games and have been a gamer for as long as I can remember. I didn't really become fascinated with games until I was 7 or 8, when I got my first NES and started playing games with a "soul". Epic stories unfolded before me, evoking emotions that I never thought a game could - and I decided then what I wanted to be when I grew up.
When I was around 15, I was introduced to Dungeons & Dragons, which became an outlet for my storytelling and game design. I created worlds, and even my own tweaks to the rules to make it my own. During this time, I was learning the basics of programming and even wrote a fully functional text based fighting game in QBasic.
Now here I am, at 33, after 10 years of professional programming in various languages, I am taking my first true steps into video game programming and design. I will be blogging my thoughts and processes as I move forward in my education, experience and experimentation and look forward to constructive feedback.
