Newsbrief: As spotted by Eurogamer, the Virtuix Omni VR treadmill, which allows you to control first-person games by walking around on the spot, is now available for pre-order. We originally reported on this rather intriguing "next step" in video game virtual reality last year, when Virtuix showcased the hardware working alongside the Oculus Rift headset during a game of Team Fortress 2. Now the treadmill is available to pre-order for $499, or you can buy two for $1,019 (you get an extra set of Omni shoes with the latter). Pre-orders will apparently be shipped this September.
