Newsbrief: Today, nominations opened for the third annual Canadian Video Game Awards ceremony, which will take place in Vancouver, British Columbia on April 3, 2012. The awards, which celebrate the growing game development community in Canada, will cover 14 categories, ranging from Best Indie Game, Best Writing, Best Game Design, to Game of the Year, and more. The call for nominations will remain open until February 1, 2012. Winners from last year's Canadian Video Game Awards included Mass Effect 2, Osmos, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, and ModNation Racers. More information here.
