The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
Notable releases for console digital download this week include Xbox Live Arcade release Outland and intriguing sounding title Valet Parking 1989 on Nintendo's DSiWare service.
[Every week, Gamasutra rounds up the titles released for the major console and portable digital delivery services, as compiled by editor Ryan Langley over at sister site GamerBytes.] It's time to look at the digital-first titles debuting this week across both North America and Europe on the major console digital systems, including the Xbox 360's Xbox Live Arcade service, as well as Nintendo's WiiWare and DSiWare services. Notable releases this week include Xbox Live Arcade release Outland and the brilliant-sounding Valet Parking 1989 for DSiWare. Xbox Live Arcade (Worldwide) This week gets three new releases -- Outland, developed by the awesome little indie studio Housemarque, is now available for 800MSP Alongside it is Trouble Witches Neo, a cute-em-up game published by SNK for 800MSP, and Nin2-Jump, a platformer in the vein of shadow puppets created by Cave, the super popular shoot-em-up developer in Japan -- and it's only 400MSP. There are lots of great deals too: Risk Factions (was 800MSP, now 400MSP) Banjo Kazooie (was 1200MSP, now 600MSP) Centipede & Milipede (was 400MSP, now 200MSP) Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting (was 400MSP, now 200MSP) Contra (was 400MSP, now 200MSP) Dead Rising 2: Case Zero (was 400MSP, now 200MSP) Dead Rising 2: Case West (was 800MSP, now 400MSP) WiiWare/DSiWare (North America) Seems like DSiWare's getting all the love over WiiWare lately. This week sees Word Searcher Deluxe for 500 Points, and a demo for PooYoo's Episode 3. DSiWare's looking alright though -- Airport Mania: First Flight, based on the popular web game for 200 Points, the animation editor Inchworm Animation for 500 Points and Ubongo for 500 Points. WiiWare/DSiWare (Europe) Not a whole lot this week. One new WiiWare title -- Ubongo, based off the German board game of the same name, now available for 800 Points. On DSiWare we've got two new titles -- GO Series: Tower Of Deus for 200 Points, and Valet Parking 1989 for 500 Points. PSN releases were not posted this week due to the ongoing network outage.
