[In this weekly column, Gamasutra rounds up the most popular paid and free gaming applications on the Android Market as of today, with Cut the Rope, Hanging With Friends, NOVA 2 and Dragon Fly! currently ranking among the platform's top downloads.] This week's top paid titles are: 1. Cut the Rope ($0.99) 2. NOVA 2 HD ($0.99) 3. RoboDefense ($2.99) 4. The Moron Test ($0.99) 5. Fruit Ninja ($1.26) 6. Doodle Jump ($0.99) 7. Madden NFL 12 ($6.99) 8. Dragon Fly! Full ($1.09) 9. UNO ($2.99) 10. Pocket God ($0.99) Zeptolab's Cut the Rope rises to the top of today's paid Android charts, overtaking Gameloft's sci-fi FPS NOVA 2 HD and last week's sales leader RoboDefense. EA's Madden NFL 12 reports a drop in sales after a chart-topping debut earlier this month, as the Tiny Wings clone Dragon Fly! Full places eighth after a recent update. Tetris Free Rovio's Angry Birds once again rules the Android Market's free game charts, but faces new competition this week from NewToy's multiplayer word game Hanging With Friends. Bunny Shooter and Angry Birds Rio continue to rank as top downloads, while newcomer Lane Splitter places seventh in today's results.
