Top-Grossing iOS Games: Mystery Manor overtakes DragonVale on iPad

Apple's latest U.S. App Store game charts by revenue see Crime City and Poker by Zynga earning top iPhone sales, while DragonVale and Mystery Manor emerge as big sellers on the iPad.

Every week, Gamasutra rounds up the top-grossing iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad applications, as current that day in the iTunes App Store. This week's U.S. revenue charts see Crime City and Poker by Zynga earning top iPhone sales, while DragonVale and Mystery Manor emerge as big sellers on the iPad. These charts allow end users to see who is making the most money on the App Store that day. It differs significantly from the Top 10 Games chart, which is ranked by sales, and therefore is dominated by lower-priced titles that sell more copies. Data comes courtesy of Apple's public sales information. All titles in the App Store's "Games" category are considered in chart rankings. This week's top-grossing iPhone titles are: 1. DragonVale (Free) 2. Poker by Zynga (Free) 3. Crime City (Free) 4. Slotomania (Free) 5. World War (Free) 6. Temple Run (Free) 7. Where's My Water? ($0.99) 8. Kingdom Conquest (Free) 9. Family Feud & Friends (Free) 10. Zhang Shang San Guo (Free) Backflip Studios' Dragonvale and Poker by Zynga remain the App Store's highest-grossing games for the third week running, as Funzio's recently updated sim title Crime City leads over Slotomania at third place in today's results. Imangi's Temple Run drops to sixth place after finishing third last week, while Disney's Where's My Water? overtakes Sega's multiplayer RPG Kingdom Conquest at seventh place. Here are this week’s top-grossing iPad applications: 1. Mystery Manor: Hidden Adventure (Free) 2. DragonVale (Free) 3. Slotomania HD (Free) 4. Poker by Zynga (Free) 5. Modern War (Free) 6. Slotomania (Free) 7. Battle Nations (Free) 8. Card Ace Casino HD (Free) 9. Smurfs' Village (Free) 10. The Sims FreePlay (Free) Game Insight's recently released hidden object game Mystery Manor: Hidden Adventure claims top honors in today's iPad sales results, deposing longtime chart leader DragonVale. Playtika's Slotomania HD moves up to third place, meanwhile, as Poker by Zynga and Modern War trail at fourth and fifth.
