Newsbrief: Two industry veterans, who have worked for companies like Relentless Software, Rare, Headstrong Games, Electronic Arts, Frontier Developers and Rockstar Games, have founded a new game studio. Variable State is Jonathan Burroughs, best known as the writer of House of the Dead: Overkill, and Terry Kenny, who also worked on House of the Dead: Overkill, plus other titles including Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The pair left DeepMind Technologies in January when the company was bought by Google, and is currently putting together Variable State's first game.
