Ubisoft has announced the next entry in the popular Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six franchise, Rainbow Six: Patriots, will be coming to the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in 2013. A co-production of Ubisoft's Montreal, Toronto and Red Storm studios, Patriots will center on a single-player campaign told from multiple character viewpoints, according to the announcement. Co-op and multiplayer modes will also return with what the publisher promises are "new features that enhance communication and tactical execution between teammates." The publisher also announced that the Rainbow Six franchise has now sold 25 million units since its debut in 1998. 2008 release Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 topped sales charts in the UK and the Xbox 360 edition alone approached a million sales in the U.S., according to NPD data. At an E3 presentation this year, Ubisoft announced that all future Tom Clancy games would include support for Kinect's gestural and voice recognition controls on the Xbox 360.
