Newsbrief: If you thought that CPO stood for "Chief Product Officer," you'd be wrong -- well, at least in this instance. Ubisoft said today that it has hired a Chief Parkour Officer, to help the company keep character movement in its Assassin's Creed games authentic. Ubisoft says that Michael "Frosti" Zernow "will serve in a strategic advisory role, ensuring an ongoing commitment to the authenticity and accuracy of parkour." Zernow has apparently been helping the company with the upcoming Assassin's Creed Unity, participating in motion capture sessions and performing stunts that Unity's designers are using to model gameplay. But Ubisoft is also looking for ways to show its support for the sport of parkour, with Zernow advising on how Ubisoft can use the Assassin's Creed franchise to put a spotlight on the sport.
