Ubisoft will provide publisher support for Demiurge Studios' first original title, Shoot Many Robots, an over-the-top downloadable action game coming to consoles and PCs. The game, which was announced last year, is the first title completely developed by the studio. Previously Demiurge contributed content to high profile franchises including Borderlands, Rock Band, Mass Effect and Brothers in Arms. According to the companies, Shoot Many Robots sees players taking on the role of one P. Walter Tugnut as he sets out to "kill as many robots as possible" with "an RV full of guns and beer." Gameplay is described as "a four-player co-op run-n-gun side-scrolling RPG shooter filled with tons of weapons and item customization." The game will be released on Xbox Live Arcade, Sony's PlayStation Network, and Windows-based PCs next year, and will be displayed as part of Ubisoft's presence at this weekend's PAX Prime expo in Seattle.
