The Unity Store's asset catalog just got a lot bigger, courtesy of a partnership with popular animation shop Mixamo. Mixamo's entire catalog of "thousands" of animations are available as of today at the Unity Asset Store, including its sampling of free animation sets. These animations can be pulled directly into the Unity Editor and applied to characters in realtime, and can be edited directly in the Unity Animation Editor. The animation sets range from free to about $139, and are all royalty-free. Mixamo is a 3D character animation service company led by CEO Stefano Corazza, using technology he developed while at the Stanford University Biomotion Lab. The company counts EA, Sony, Blizzard and Microsoft among its clients.
