Vicious Cycle Software announced that its Vicious Engine was chosen to power HGI Ultimate Team Play, a recently released hospitality industry training simulation developed by America's Army creators Virtual Heroes. Ultimate Team Play is playable on Sony's PlayStation Portable (PSP) platform. Vicious Cycle's Vicious Engine has previously been featured in retail PSP titles such as Dead Head Fred and Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords. "We chose Vicious Engine primarily for its straightforward platform conversion onto PSP," said Virtual Heroes founder and CEO Jerry Heneghan. "When combined with the engine’s full-featured technology and ability to render a highly detailed in-game environment, it was an easy choice for this project." Ultimate Team Play places Hilton Garden Inn employees in a simulated hotel environment and presents them with a series of realistic scenarios. Players must manage time effectively, make appropriate decisions at key junctures, and satisfy hotel guest requests in a number of simulated employment positions, including housekeeping, food and beverage, engineering, maintenance, and front desk management. Ultimate Team Play is the first interactive training game to be used in the hospitality industry. The program launched in February 2009 at all Hilton Garden Inn hotels worldwide.
