In case you missed it last Friday, Gamasutra editor Mike Rose took part in KerbalKon 2013 -- the online Twitch conference for Kerbal Space Program -- talking to the game's lead developer Felipe Falanghe about how the game has exploded in popularity over the last year or so. Since the game started as an early alpha build, is a very open-ended game, has some educational merit to it, and even has its own annual conference, we also asked Falanghe whether he feels like Kerbal Space Program is destined to be the next Minecraft. You can also watch the video over on the official Kerbal Space Program Twitch page.
