A historian at the University of Texas has started a new video series, in which he looks at how video game worlds based on real-life history fare compared to the real thing. In this first video, Bob Whitaker discusses Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and its pirate-themed storyline and settings, along with fellow historian Dr. Bryan Glass. It's a fascinating discussion, especially when you realize just how closely Ubisoft has molded its storyline to match that of the real Golden Age of Piracy in the early 18th century.
