VR studio Resolution Games gets $6 million in funding

Stockholm-based virtual reality studio Resolution Games has received $6 million in Series A funding - the largest investment a VR developer has received to date. 

Resolution, co-founded by former King games guru, Tommy Palm, received huge backing from Google Ventures, who believe mobile VR will be at the "forefront" of virtual reality development in the years ahead.

“We are thrilled to have the support of such high caliber thought leaders and VCs and to see they are confident in our team and strategy of making games everyone can enjoy,” explained Palm. 

“The funds will give us the ability to ensure our longevity. As we learned with the mobile games market, perseverance is critical for building a successful company in an emerging market.

“Resolution Games will be around for years to come and will be able to focus on making the correct strategic choices to help the VR Games market grow into its potential.”
